AGU 2025 Talk and Organized Session
I attended AGU in New Orleans this past December to give a talk and convene a session. My talk highlighted our work estimating interannual variability in eastern tree growth, forest C storage, and forest productivity using tree rings, forest inventory data, and data assimilation.
While this work is not published yet, I was excited to share some of the newest results and connect with other folks working on various GHG estimation advancements.
My Talk Abstract: GC11A-02 Toward a tree-ring enhanced National Forest Inventory: Data assimilation approaches to estimate inter-annual variability in forest carbon and drivers
I was also incredibly lucky to co-convene another session that highlighted science advances in forest demography, where we had a great set of talks and posters.
Our Convened Sessions: B21A - Advances in Understanding and Predicting Forest Demography and Carbon in a Changing World I Oral B23P - Advances in Understanding and Predicting Forest Demography and Carbon in a Changing World II Poster
In between taste-testing all the beignets and runs along the river, I also managed to meet with some new people, connect with colleagues, and catch up with friends.
